Lewisham Council worked in partnership with Lewisham and Southwark Clinical Commissioning Group, Doctors of the World and Lewisham Refugee and Migrant Network (LRMN) to coordinate a letter to GP practices promoting the Doctors of the World Safe Surgeries initiative and reinforcing the need for refugees, asylum seekers and migrants to be registered with the NHS in order to receive the Covid vaccine.

Currently 20 of 22 practices have registered and we will continue to work towards reaching all 22.

This was a joint action between Lewisham CCG and London Borough of Lewisham, and the Council worked with Lewisham Refugee and Migrant Network and Doctors of the World to coordinate their approach.
